They didn't deserve another season after that shit show. I would have gladly seen Trixie die in her place. I liked the thing between Jen and Johnny. When Trixie hid after shooting Hearst, knowing that Al would kill another girl to pass off as her, I was disgusted. Jane bitches constantly too, which is also annoying, but at least she's not unbelievably self-righteous about it like Trixie. She even bullied Ellsworth into marrying Mrs. She bitches out everyone, often unprovoked, despite having no actual power. Trixie, true to form, acts like a loopy cunt and never suffers the consequences. Moreover, I didn't like Jack's effect on Al - he became too light-hearted around Jack, and it didn't suit Al's character.Ĥ) I hated the ending. I also never really understood his connection to those two women. We get glimpses into the group dynamic but it's never really explained. The Theatre folks never actually got the theatre up and running (aside from the amateur night). Joanie Stubbs is similarly aimless the writers kept pushing her relationship with Jane, but I really didn't care, and she does basically nothing else.ģ) The new characters were mostly a distraction. Cy Toliver, once a powerful force in the camp, does basically nothing but whine. Maybe my background knowledge isn't a fault with the show, but when you pick someone famous who clearly goes on to live it kills a lot of the suspense.Ģ) There were too many old characters hanging around without any clear purpose. Here's why I didn't like it:ġ) I knew Hearst wouldn't die. Season 1 is awesome, season 2 is OK, and season 3 is still terrible the second time around.
